Membership Committee

Our goal is to educate members about the advantages and opportunities of being a member of the LWVOC. In addition to member support, we maintain the member database and report statistics to our state and national Leagues. We plan and host various important League events as well as our own Member Orientations.

Events Calendar

Special Events is the LWVOC’s inhouse resource for organizing events. Working with our committees and Hot Topics team, we provide logistics and resources support for our annual and special events as well as the monthly Hot Topics luncheon presentations. As our committee grows, we plan to add more events for our members.

Hot Topics

Hot Topics is our League's signature event that occurs monthly for engagement, recruitment, and education for action. Along with a delicious lunch, members and guests are treated to expert speakers who provide food for thought. Members are welcome to volunteer for the Hot Topics Committee to plan programs and solicit speakers. Our Events and Communications Committees take care of the logistics and marketing.

Communications

Want to add an announcement, create an event, or simply contact Leaguers? Do you need assistance navigating our website? Questions about our social media presence? Contact our chairperson by email HERE and a member of our committee will be in contact with you soon

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility

Our goal is to support the League's commitment to DEIA. We accomplish this by:

-Providing educational materials and promoting events and partnerships that foster connections among diverse communities

-Helping to identify barriers that prevent us from being a fully inclusive and welcoming League

-Acting as a resource for the Board and Committees as they apply a DEIA lens to their activities

Nominating Committee

Per our bylaws, the Nominating Committee's assigned role is to recommend Elected Board Officers and Elected Directors. The continuity of our League leadership is essential and this group ensures that the best candidates are brought forward to the League in a Slate presented at our Annual Meeting.
