Sending Hope to HOPE (CommUnity) Center

Tying a bow in an arrangment of presents

Each holiday season, the Orange County League of Women Voters participates in a Toy Drive for the children and families of Hope CommUnity Center in Apopka. HOPE is a full-service center serving the migrant and undocumented members of our Central Florida region.  This year HOPE is serving approximately 500 families, each with 3 to 4 children, ages newborn to 14. This means that if many organizations donate toys, between 1500 and 2000 children will have Christmas this year.  Each donated toy will be priced accordingly and will be for sale to the families for a nominal price, at the HOPE Toy Store, ensuring that each family feels a part of their child’s joy.

If you would like to donate a toy, HOPE has a Wish List through Amazon.  Please note that if you use the Amazon Link, the HOPE delivery address is already programmed in.

Here is the Toy Sale link to the Wish List. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3508WQG1DBR4O?ref_=wl_share

If you do not see anything on the Wish List that strikes you and you would like to send your own chosen item to HOPE the address is below. You may also make cash donations to this address from their website:

https://www.hcc-offm.org/ to click the “Donate” button.

The dates for the Toy Drive are December 1 to December 17th.

Very Sincerely Yours,

The Orange County League of Women Voters Immigration Committee
