Preventing Gun Violence Resources

There are several national groups that a committee on gun safety might wish to follow via email, which track national initiatives, marches and policy statements. There are plentiful sources for statistics about gun violence, its effects on children, numbers of people killed, school shootings, etc. The largest issue, though, is the reality of politics in state legislatures and Congress, controlled by one major party. A June 11 march on Washington is in the planning stages.

The National Gun Violence Table –   gun-violence-table@googlegroups.com – holds a weekly national ‘call’ on zoom.  This clearing-house group tracks local, national and community efforts to combat gun violence and hosts regular zoom forums and meetings.  Robert Creamer, Pres at robertcreamer@democracypartners.com  (see the agenda from its recent May meeting below).
