You have a few days left to collect political signs and drop them off at the locations below.  Also, join us next Monday (masked up and socially distant) for a photo op as we celebrate our FIRST and very successful sign recycling project.

 Residents, candidates, political parties and campaigns are encouraged to gather plastic signs from roadsides, polling sites, and their front yards between November 4 and November 22. Collection crates are set up and ready to receive signs in three Winter Park locations and 2 Orlando locations. 

 1. Cady Way Trail by the pool at 2525 Cady Way

2. The Community Garden at Mead Botanical Garden at 1300 South Denning Drive

3. Winter Park Fire-Rescue Station 64 at 1439 Howell Branch Road
4. First Unitarian Church of Orlando 1901 E. Robinson Street Orlando
5. Broadway United Methodist Church 406 E. Amelia Street Orlando 

 A mountain of plastic signs will be saved from the landfill and transported to NuCycle Energy in Plant City where they will be transformed from bulky plastic sheets to NuCycle's Enviro Fuelcubes.  Continue your volunteerism.  Contact Kay Hudson for more information.

WHAT: The Floridians for Reproductive Freedom hosts an online power hour featuring experts discussing the benefits of Emergency Contraception (EC) and drawing attention to how Publix is mishandling merchandising EC to the detriment of its customers.

 Sending HOPE to the HOPE CommUnity Center.  It's our tradition to collect toys/gifts for this special center at our Annual Christmas party.  Like everything else, our collection will be a bit different this year.  Since our holiday celebration will be online, our HOPE gift collection will also occur virtually.

A pandemic hasn't stopped our dedication to hosting social events, philanthropic efforts, and League business.  We have record membership and participation hasn't slowed.  In other words, we have lived up to our suffragist ideals for the last 100 years and become a national icon as the League of Women Voters.  Ladies and gentlemen, MARK your calendars!  We'll enjoy ourselves ending this unprecedented year and start anew in 2021 ready to defend democracy.

This is a recording of 2045 Plan - The Reveal. This webinar provides an MTP overview and highlights key projects in this 25-year plan. The plan is the result of extensive technical work and diverse public input. MetroPlan Orlando is now accepting public comment on the draft 2045 Plan. Written comments are also being accepted (more details at MetroPlanOrlando.org/2045DraftPlan). The comment period deadline is November 20, 2020. The comments will be provided to the MetroPlan Orlando Board when it considers the 2045 Plan for adoption on the December 9, 2020 meeting
