Subject: Updated LWVOC Newsletter & Events
From: Lisa K Adkins

This is the "Lost in Cyber-Space" mini-update as more photos and "kudos" have been coming in since yesterday's newsletter.  Since it's fresh on everyone's mind, indulge us while we continue our sincere APPRECIATION to our incredible LWVOC volunteers who helped empower so many voters on Primary Election Day this past Tuesday.
Our additions include:
Precinct #633 (first photo below L-R poll workers) Jeanette Lambert (non-member poll clerk,) Summer Ellis, Anna Boyd, Eugene Stoccardo, Mike Singer, Kathy Roberts, Mary Montanus (coordinator.)

"Food to the Polls" And now to recognize the 24 members of the Primary 2022 Food Support Teams whose contributions of coffee/meals/ yummy desserts, etc. prior to the opening of the precincts helped provide some much needed energy.  Coordinators Terry Gillam and Nancy Nix took on the task of organizing deliveries to the six precincts.  Thanks for the goodies!  Eve Barbour, Trudy Boston, Pat Burke, Sharon Conway, Charlotte Coppenhaver, Mary Dipboye, Caroline Emmons-Schramm, Joan Erwin, Helen Foster, Bonnie Gant, Barbara Granade, Barbara Knapp, Michele Levy, Anne Peterson, Linda Piantieri, Gaye Reese, Sara Rich, Tara Russokov, Betty Saulpaugh, Angela Skelton, Susan Sussman, Julie Tindall, Elsie Tracy, Nancy Tunnell (Laubenthal)
Shown in second photo below-collage: Pat Burke, Linda Piantieri filling a table, bottom L-R, Sara Rich delivering Sugar House Bake Shop desserts to Denise Burton, Kathy Sheerin, and Eugene Stoccardo who accepted them happily!
Vote411 coordinatorsKathy Sheerin and Terry Gillam organized the team that collected and edited local election information dispersed to the national non-partisan vote411.org site.  Visits to the site broke records proving that voters want to be educated.

We've had to cobble together a "dream team" collage (below) of these League leaders whose names you have continually seen in our Voter Services outreach and in this newsletter.  They and their teams have been true "Warriors for Democracy" and we thank them.

It's been quite a week with another election in the books and another tremendous effort on behalf of our LWVOC volunteers.  Our teams managed 6 precincts in the Adopt-A-Precinct program; much appreciation goes to Mary Montanus for her successful recruitment/organization efforts and yes, she would also be the first to praise her support team so we thank them as well.  Our Voter Services Co-Chairs Kathy Sheerin and Gina Hall and their committee members have worked tirelessly to arrange voter registration efforts.  The Vote411 team successfully put together a local voter guide included in the national database  with record-breaking usage.  Hot Topics hosted candidate forums which also set records for views on our YouTube Channel.  WE ARE GRATEFUL for all the Leaguers who helped empower voters these last few months.

Enjoy the smiling faces of some precinct volunteers below and remember, the General Election is NOV 8 so plan accordingly to defend democracy as a League volunteer.
