Subject: LWVOC Newsletter & Events
From: Lisa K Adkins

The 2nd largest Hot Topics crowd EVER listened intently as the panel discussed the state of democracy in Florida and the nation.  Read Joy Dickinson's summary HERE and look for an update when Hot Topics is uploaded to YouTube.  Most agreed that this compelling conversation needs to continue beyond the event.  Share this newsletter and encourage your circle to follow LWVOC on social media (links shown at top right of newsletter,) keeping democracy front and center.
With deep appreciation, we thank Hot Topics Chair and former LWVOC Co-President Gloria Pickar for her steadfast leadership in bringing back our keystone event, monthly in-person Hot Topics luncheons.  Her guidance not only re-established the tradition but catapulted it into a new era:
  • Meeting at the Winter Park Events Center with ample free parking and easy access for differently-abled attendees
  • Continued partnership with Cuisiniers Catering with vegan entrees now available
  • Advanced audio/visual tools including professional filming
  • Expanded digital program release enabling everyone the chance to view it
And now, we welcome our new Hot Topics Chair...Susan Windmiller.  Her deep background of LWV leadership and community outreach will ensure another dynamic year of programming.  But she needs a Co-Chair and it could be YOU!  If interested, contact League leadership HERE
