Former League President, Leesa Bainbridge, met with one of their projects back in 2018. This request is on behalf of 8 participants visiting with 3 liaisons on a program titled “Current U.S. Social, Political, and Economic Issues for Young European Leaders III.” The visitors are government officials, business leaders, politicians, civic and community leaders, journalists, and academics. The U.S. Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project:

Examine interrelated U.S. foreign and domestic policy topics, including homeland security and intelligence gathering, trade and economic development, immigration and integration, health and social services, environmental sustainability, and energy; and
The Dept. of State requested a meeting with the League of Women Voters Orange County to discuss how LWVOC engages young women voters across party lines in advocacy for women’s issues.
